Build a Taller Greenhouse With a Snow-Shedding Gothic Design

The DIY Gothic Greenhouse Kit is designed for growers who want the snow-shedding benefits, taller sidewalls, and extra interior headroom of a Gothic arch greenhouse. The steep roofline provides additional clearance for trellising, airflow, and tall crops while helping snow and water shed from the greenhouse covering.

Available in 14′ or 20′ widths and lengths from 20′ to 100′, this DIY high tunnel gives you plenty of flexibility to choose a growing space that fits your property. The 14′-wide greenhouse stands approximately 12.5′–13.5′ tall, while the 20′-wide greenhouse reaches approximately 15.5′–16.5′ tall.

To keep the kit affordable to ship, the bulky metal tubing and lumber are purchased locally. Your greenhouse kit includes the specialty greenhouse components, covering, hardware, connectors, and preformed Gothic peaks needed to complete the structure with your locally sourced materials.

This greenhouse kit is not eligible for returns.

Why Choose the DIY Gothic Greenhouse?

  • Gothic arch design — Sheds snow better than traditional round hoop designs.

  • Steeper roof pitch — Helps improve water runoff from the greenhouse covering.

  • Extra interior headroom — Taller sidewalls provide additional clearance for trellising, tall crops, and airflow.

  • Ideal for snow-prone climates — The Gothic profile is designed with improved snow shedding in mind.

  • Multiple sizes available — Choose from 14′ or 20′ widths and 20′, 40′, 60′, 80′, or 100′ lengths.

  • 4-year greenhouse plastic included — 6 mil greenhouse plastic is sized to cover the entire greenhouse, including the end walls.

  • Specialty hardware included — The kit includes the connectors, fasteners, lock channel, spring wire, and other specialty components needed for the structure.

  • Ground post driver included — Helps safely drive your locally sourced ground posts into the ground.

  • DIY instructions included — Detailed assembly instructions and a Buy Local Chart help you prepare for the build.

  • Free shipping — Ready to ship in approximately 2–3 business days.

Locally Sourced Metal & Lumber

The DIY Gothic Greenhouse is designed so the bulky metal tubing and lumber can be purchased near you rather than shipped with the kit. This helps reduce the cost of getting a large greenhouse structure to your property.

The exact materials required depend on the width and length you select.

Choose the Growing Space You Need

Choose from two widths and five lengths to find the growing area that works for your property and plans.

Greenhouse Size Approximate Growing Area
14′ × 20′ 280 sq. ft.
14′ × 40′ 560 sq. ft.
14′ × 60′ 840 sq. ft.
14′ × 80′ 1,120 sq. ft.
14′ × 100′ 1,400 sq. ft.
20′ × 20′ 400 sq. ft.
20′ × 40′ 800 sq. ft.
20′ × 60′ 1,200 sq. ft.
20′ × 80′ 1,600 sq. ft.
20′ × 100′ 2,000 sq. ft.

More Headroom for Tall Crops & Trellising

The Gothic profile provides substantially more vertical space than a traditional rounded hoop design.

The 14′-wide greenhouse reaches approximately 12.5′–13.5′ tall, while the 20′-wide greenhouse reaches approximately 15.5′–16.5′ tall. That extra clearance gives you more room for trellising tall crops while providing additional interior headroom and airflow.

Designed to Shed Snow & Water

The steep Gothic arch is more than a distinctive shape. Its pitch is designed to shed snow better than a round hoop greenhouse while also improving water runoff from the greenhouse covering.

That makes the Gothic design particularly well suited to growers in snow-prone climates who also want the growing advantages of a tall high tunnel.

Customize Your Ventilation & Access

The included lock channel is based on a single-door greenhouse configuration. Additional lock channel may be needed if you choose to build double doors or add windows.

Preparing for Your Build

Because this greenhouse combines the supplied kit components with metal and lumber purchased locally, review the materials list for your selected width and length before beginning your project.

Make sure your locally sourced materials are available and ready before starting assembly. Lumber availability can vary by location, particularly when choosing moisture-resistant options such as redwood, cedar, or pressure-treated lumber.

Review the complete assembly instructions and Buy Local Chart before beginning construction so you know what you'll need for your specific greenhouse size.

FAQ

How difficult are Bootstrap Farmer greenhouses to assemble?

Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse kits are designed for DIY assembly and include instructions to guide you through the build. Assembly time, tools, site preparation, and the number of people needed vary by greenhouse model. When Bootstrap Farmer provides assembly instructions or videos for a specific greenhouse, Four Leaf Coop Co links them directly on the product page so you can review the installation process before ordering.

Do Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse kits include everything needed for installation?

Not necessarily. What's included varies by greenhouse model and selected configuration. Some kits require materials such as lumber, doors, or other components to be purchased locally, while optional upgrades may be sold separately. Four Leaf Coop Co lists included and locally sourced components on each product page whenever applicable.

Can I customize my Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse?

Many Bootstrap Farmer greenhouses can be customized with accessories such as shade cloth, insect netting, additional structural components, and additional door or end-wall options. Additional available upgrades vary by greenhouse model, so check the individual product page for compatible options.

Do the product photos show exactly what comes with the greenhouse?

Not always. Bootstrap Farmer may show completed greenhouses with optional upgrades, accessories, doors, lumber, or other components that aren't included with the base kit. Please use the What's Included information on the product page rather than photographs alone to determine what comes with your greenhouse.

Can I use a Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse year-round?

Many Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse structures are designed for extended-season or ongoing use, but suitability depends on the specific model, local weather conditions, installation, anchoring, maintenance, and configuration. Check the specifications and recommendations for the greenhouse you're considering.

Where can I get help if I have questions about my greenhouse?

Contact Four Leaf Coop Co at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842 and we'll help with available product information or coordinate with Bootstrap Farmer when manufacturer assistance is needed.

How tall is the DIY Gothic Greenhouse?

The approximate height depends on the width you select.

The 14′-wide greenhouse stands approximately 12.5′–13.5′ tall, while the 20′-wide greenhouse stands approximately 15.5′–16.5′ tall.

The Gothic profile provides taller sidewalls and additional interior headroom for trellising, tall crops, airflow, and working inside the greenhouse.

Why choose a Gothic greenhouse instead of a round hoop house?

The Gothic greenhouse has a steeper roof pitch than a traditional rounded hoop house, helping it shed snow more effectively and improve water runoff.

Its taller sidewalls and additional interior headroom also provide more clearance for trellising and tall crops, making the Gothic design particularly appealing for growers in snow-prone climates.

What materials do I need to purchase locally for the DIY Gothic Greenhouse?

Metal tubing and lumber are not included with the DIY Gothic Greenhouse Kit and must be purchased locally.

The required materials include top rail for the bows and ridge poles, line posts for the ground posts, and lumber for the baseboards, hipboards, door, door frame, and end walls.

The exact quantities depend on the width and length you select. Please review the Locally Sourced Metal & Lumber tables in the product description before ordering.

What greenhouse covering is included?

The kit includes enough 6 mil greenhouse plastic with a 4-year rating to cover the structure.

The “4-year” designation is the manufacturer's rating for the greenhouse film; it should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the covering will fail on a particular date. Actual service life can vary based on installation, weather, UV exposure, physical damage, and other environmental conditions.

Is the DIY Gothic Greenhouse returnable?

No. The DIY Gothic Greenhouse Kit is not eligible for returns.

Please carefully review your selected size, included components, locally sourced material requirements, and planned configuration before ordering.

How much growing space does the DIY Gothic Greenhouse provide?

Growing space depends on the width and length you select.

The 14′-wide models provide approximately 280 to 1,400 sq. ft., while the 20′-wide models provide approximately 400 to 2,000 sq. ft.

A complete size-by-size growing area chart is included in the product description to make comparing configurations easier.

What site preparation is recommended?

Bootstrap Farmer recommends choosing a reasonably level location with good drainage and firm ground. Remove rocks, roots, debris, and other obstacles before installation.

What makes the DIY Gothic Greenhouse a DIY kit?

The DIY Gothic Greenhouse Kit provides the specialty greenhouse components, covering, hardware, connectors, and preformed Gothic peaks, while the metal tubing and lumber needed to complete the structure are purchased locally.

Bootstrap Farmer designed the kit this way to reduce the cost of shipping bulky materials that can be sourced near you. Detailed assembly instructions and locally sourced materials lists are provided to help you plan your build.

Why Buy From Us

Why Buy From Four Leaf Coop Co?

A chicken coop, greenhouse, or freeze dryer is a big purchase, and you may be buying from a store you’ve never heard of. Here’s what you can count on from us.

You’ll reach a real person.
Four Leaf Coop Co is founder-run. I’m Milissa, and when you call, text, or email, you’re talking with someone who knows these products, not a call center. Before you buy, we’ll help you compare sizes and options. After delivery, we’ll work with the manufacturer on your behalf if anything goes wrong.

Approved retailer for every brand we carry.
Your order ships directly from the manufacturer, so you get the same product and manufacturer warranty you’d get buying from them.

Every page checked against the manufacturer.
Specs, measurements, manuals, and warranty details are verified against the manufacturer’s own information, so what you read is what arrives.

No shipping surprises.
Each product page explains how that item ships, how long it takes, whether it comes by freight, and whether you’ll need help unloading it. You’ll know before you order, not on delivery day.

A smaller lineup, chosen carefully.
We’d rather carry fewer products we can stand behind than thousands of listings. Every product is vetted, including its customer reviews, before it goes on the site.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Bootstrap Farmer products ship directly from the manufacturer.

Free shipping on orders of $75 or more within the contiguous 48 United States. Orders totaling less than $75 are subject to a $14.95 shipping charge.

Bootstrap Farmer primarily ships standard orders via UPS or FedEx and requires a physical delivery address. Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. boxes.

Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii may incur substantial additional shipping charges. Please contact Four Leaf Coop Co before ordering for assistance with shipping availability and costs.

Greenhouse Shipping & Processing

Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse kits include free shipping within the contiguous 48 United States.

For greenhouse orders, please allow approximately 2–3 business days for processing and picking before shipment. Once shipped, delivery typically takes approximately 5–10 business days.

These timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on the order, destination, carrier, weather, and other circumstances outside of our control.

Greenhouse Freight Delivery

Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse kits ship by motor freight due to their size and weight. Freight shipments are delivered curbside only, and customers are responsible for unloading the shipment from the delivery truck. The driver is not required to assist with unloading or move the shipment up a driveway or to its final location.

Greenhouse kits cannot be delivered with liftgate service because of the length of the shipping pallet. Someone will need to be present at delivery to unload the kit from the truck.

Bootstrap Farmer greenhouse kit packed in a long open-top wooden shipping crate

Greenhouse kits ship in a long wooden crate like the one shown. The crate is open on top, so the bows, tubing and hardware can be carried off piece by piece.

Unloading may sound like a big job, but most pieces are easy to handle. The heaviest items are the greenhouse film box (approximately 70–280 lbs, depending on the kit) and the hardware box (up to approximately 60 lbs). Greenhouse freight pallets may weigh approximately 200–1,500 lbs in total, so please plan ahead and have at least two people available to unload by hand, or arrange for appropriate equipment, such as an outdoor forklift. Larger orders may arrive on multiple pallets.

The video below shows how a greenhouse kit delivery is unloaded.

▶ Watch: How a greenhouse kit freight delivery is unloaded

Ordered from Four Leaf Coop Co? For any delivery questions or damage, contact us at support@fourleafcoop.com and we'll take care of it with the manufacturer.

The freight carrier will contact you to schedule your delivery. Please provide an accurate phone number, physical delivery address, and delivery-access information, and respond promptly when the carrier contacts you.

Customers will also receive delivery information prior to arrival. Please review these instructions carefully and make all necessary unloading arrangements in advance.

Important: Delays in scheduling delivery may result in carrier storage fees, which can run approximately $50–$200 per day, per pallet. Changes to the delivery address after a shipment is already in transit may also result in substantial additional carrier charges. Any such carrier charges resulting from delayed scheduling, address changes, or special delivery requirements may be the responsibility of the customer.

Inspecting Your Freight Delivery

Please inspect your freight shipment carefully before signing the delivery receipt and before the driver leaves.

When your shipment arrives:

  • Photograph the pallet and packaging from multiple angles before unloading whenever possible.
  • Check the shipment against the included pick list.
  • Look carefully for visible damage, missing items, or signs that the shipment has been mishandled.
  • Write any visible damage or discrepancies on the delivery paperwork before signing.
  • Keep photographs, packaging, and other documentation until any issue has been resolved.

This step is extremely important. If visible damage is not noted on the delivery receipt before you sign, a freight damage claim may be denied.

If the shipment appears severely damaged, please contact Four Leaf Coop Co before accepting the delivery so we can assist you.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect, contact Four Leaf Coop Co at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842 as soon as possible. Please provide photographs and any relevant delivery documentation so we can help resolve the issue.

Most eligible Bootstrap Farmer products may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Eligible returned products must be unused, in the condition received, and in their original packaging. Some products may need to remain unopened, and returns that do not include the original packaging may be subject to a restocking fee.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an eligible damaged, defective, or incorrect item. If a return shipping label is provided, the cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

All returns must be authorized before being sent back. To request a return, contact Four Leaf Coop Co at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842 with your order number and we will provide further instructions.
