We love safer chick heaters like these, even though they're pricier than traditional heat lamps. Heat lamps cause fires! This baby chick brooder heater keeps the chicks warm, confident, and quiet in the darkness, mimicking being under a mother hen's wings. 


Overview:

  • 3 size options available
  • Chicks are content and quiet under the heater.
  • Height-adjustable to accommodate chicks as they grow, from 1.5" for the smallest fowl to 6" for older/bigger birds.


Dimensions:

  • Small Heater: 10" x 10", warms up to 15 chicks.
  • Medium Heater: 12" x 16", warms up to 20 chicks.
  • Large Heater: 18" x 26", warms up to 60 chicks.
  • A 6-foot plug-in cord is included with each heater.


Watts per Hour Usage:

  • Small Heater: 15 watts
  • Medium Heater: 30 watts
  • Large Heater: 60 watts


Usage Tips:

  • Adjusting the height - Unlike a traditional heat lamp, this heater is not meant to heat an entire brooder but rather to heat chicks on contact. Position the heating plate to be just above their heads. As they grow or show you that the heat is too much for them (by positioning themselves around the edges instead of under the heat plate,) simply increase the height by pushing the corner buttons in and adjust each leg. 
  • Helps you raise large fowl and bantams together - This design is great for raising both large fowl and bantam birds together because you can set half the heating plate lower and the other half higher. The birds will self-select the best spot for them.  
  • Before your chicks come home - Plug in the plate 1 hour before placing chicks under it so that it has time to warm up. 
  • Use a nightlight - We recommend offering the chicks a nightlight when using the heater. If a chick wanders away from the heater during the night, the nightlight will allow them to see to get back under.
  • Please note that the heater light cycles on/off. It is regulated by a thermostat inside the heater, so in colder locations it will stay on longer, and in warmer locations, it will stay off longer.

      My Pet Chicken products ship directly from the supplier.

      The My Pet Chicken products offered by Four Leaf Coop Co include free standard shipping within the United States. No additional standard shipping charge will be added at checkout.

      Orders are typically shipped the same or next business day when products are in stock. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next available business day.

      Once your order has shipped, delivery time will vary depending on the destination and carrier. Tracking information will be provided when available.

      Shipping and delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, weather, holidays, product availability, and other circumstances outside of our control.

      My Pet Chicken does not ship internationally or to U.S. territories. Shipping availability to Alaska and Hawaii may vary by product. If you are located in Alaska or Hawaii, please contact Four Leaf Coop Co at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842 before ordering so we can confirm shipping availability for your product and location.

      Multiple-Item Orders

      Products may ship separately depending on the items in your order and where they are fulfilled. If your order contains products from multiple Four Leaf Coop Co suppliers, you should also expect those products to arrive in separate shipments.

      You may receive more than one tracking number, and packages may arrive on different days. This is normal and does not necessarily indicate that any part of your order is missing.

      Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Missing Items

      Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

      If your product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact Four Leaf Coop Co within 4 business days of delivery at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842.

      Please keep the product, original packaging, and shipping materials while the issue is being resolved. We may ask you to provide photographs of the product, packaging, shipping label, or damage so we can work with My Pet Chicken to determine the appropriate resolution.

      Depending on the product and the nature of the issue, the resolution may include replacement parts, a replacement product, a repair solution, or a refund.

      Please do not discard damaged products or packaging or return an item without contacting us first.

      Warranty

      Sweeter Heaters are backed by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

      The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the heater at the manufacturer's discretion. Power cords are not covered, and damage caused by misuse, mishandling, abuse, or animal damage is not covered under the warranty.

      Proof of purchase may be required for warranty service. Products submitted for warranty evaluation must be clean, and prior authorization is required before returning a heater to the manufacturer.

      Returns

      Eligible My Pet Chicken products may be returned within 30 days of receipt.

      To be eligible for return, products must be new and unused and returned with their original packaging, tags, instructions, accessories, and other materials included with the product.

      Unless the return is due to an eligible damaged, defective, or incorrect item, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. A 20% restocking fee applies to eligible returns, and original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable.

      Additional product-specific return restrictions may apply and will be noted on the applicable product page.

      All returns must be authorized before being sent back. To request a return, contact Four Leaf Coop Co at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842 with your order number and the reason for your return. We will provide further instructions.

      Please do not send products directly back to My Pet Chicken without receiving return instructions from Four Leaf Coop Co.

      Cancellations & Order Changes

      If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact Four Leaf Coop Co as soon as possible at support@fourleafcoop.com or 518-288-5842.

      Because My Pet Chicken orders typically ship quickly, the same or next business day, there may be only a short window in which an order can be changed or cancelled.

      Once an order has been processed or shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible. Shipped orders are subject to the return policy applicable to the product.
