Porta Coop chicken coops use a one-step moving system designed to let your birds walk along inside the coop while you move it. The handle operates the wheel-lift system, raising the coop onto its flat-free wheels so it can be moved to fresh ground without first catching and relocating your flock.

Yes. Porta Coop's moving system is designed so your birds can remain inside and walk along with the coop as you move it. This eliminates the need to catch and relocate your chickens, broilers, or turkeys separately each time you move the coop to fresh ground.

Yes. Porta Coop chicken coops require assembly after delivery. The main coop panels are joined together on-site, followed by installation of components such as the handle, wheel system, tarp and other model-specific parts. Porta Coop provides detailed assembly instructions to guide you through the process.

Porta Coop assembly requires common hand tools such as wrenches, a ratchet and sockets, and a tape measure. Tool requirements may vary by model, so check the assembly instructions provided with your specific Porta Coop for the complete tool list and sizes.

Regular maintenance helps keep your Porta Coop in good condition and operating properly. Check and tighten loose fasteners every 3–6 months, make sure the wheel brackets are snug while still allowing the wheels to move freely, and periodically inspect the powder coating for scuffs or scratches. Damaged areas can be lightly sanded and touched up with a high-quality black gloss paint.

Position your Porta Coop so it does not face directly into the wind. Porta Coop recommends this placement to help prevent wind-related damage to the coop and its cover.

Porta Coop orders are delivered by LTL freight with residential delivery and liftgate service. Your coop will be delivered curbside, and tracking information will be provided once your order ships.

The Porta Coop Heritage is backed by a 5-Year Limited Warranty beginning on the date of the original retail purchase. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and covers replacement parts for qualifying manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and service. Covered items include manufacturing defects, UV deterioration of warranted components under normal use, hardware failure, and wheel failure.

Warranty claims must be submitted through the authorized Porta Coop dealer where the coop was purchased. Four Leaf Coop Co customers can contact us for assistance with a warranty claim.

Porta Coop orders may be canceled as long as the order has not yet shipped.

Porta Coops may be returned within 30 days. Customers are responsible for return shipping, and a 15% restocking fee applies. If you need to cancel or return your Porta Coop, contact Four Leaf Coop Co for assistance before sending anything back.

Recommended flock capacity depends on the Heritage size and type of poultry you're raising.

For the 6' × 8' Heritage, Porta Coop recommends:

For the 10' × 12' Heritage, Porta Coop recommends:

The Coop Only configuration includes the Heritage coop itself with its mobile wheel-and-handle system, 16-gauge steel tubing frame, 14-gauge welded wire, and UV-resistant tarp system. Feeders, waterers, nest boxes, roost bars, Winter Kits, and other poultry accessories are not included with the Coop Only configuration and are available separately or as part of applicable packages.

The Heritage Layer Package adds the feeding, watering, nesting, and roosting equipment needed for laying hens to the Heritage coop. Package components vary by coop size:

The Heritage Broiler Package adds feeding and watering equipment for raising meat birds to the Heritage coop. The included equipment is the same for both the 6' × 8' and 10' × 12' Heritage:

The 6' × 8' and 10' × 12' Heritage share the same core mobile-coop design, with the primary differences being their physical size, recommended flock capacity, and Layer Package equipment. The larger 10' × 12' Heritage also includes two intermediate rafters for additional structural support.

The 6' × 8' is recommended for 6–15 layers, 10–30 broilers, or 2–8 turkeys, while the 10' × 12' is recommended for 15–40 layers, 35–75 broilers, or 8–20 turkeys.

For laying hens, the 10' × 12' Layer Package also provides greater feeding, watering, nesting, and roosting capacity to accommodate the larger recommended flock size.

Yes. The Porta Coop Heritage can be equipped for cold-weather use with an optional Winter Kit. Winter Kits are available separately for both the 6' × 8' and 10' × 12' Heritage models and are designed to help extend use of the coop through the winter months.
